Run 2 marathons.
Swim the English channel.
Get into the office.
Make 9 figures.
It all sounds great until you realise it’s a bunch of sh*t.
You just cannot give 110% forever.
I tried.
It's exhausting.
You WILL eventually crash.
Relationships, business, physical or the worst of the lot, you torpedo your own mental health.
So yes, you can join the #5amClub but after a week of this, you’ll also get free memberships to the #NapppingAt2pm or #FlaggingAt7pm Club.
But you really can't operate nor should you consistently at that pace, it's non-sustainable.
Trust me as a nutter who loved the excitement of that entrepreneurial rush.
Red lining.
I get it, it’s exciting.
I also now know from experience there is a better, more sustainable way.
Your success or failure will be based on your ability to use your greatest asset. TIME.
Effectively, and to your advantage.
I’d rather work four hardcore hours at 100% than eight pretend ones at 50%.
Stop kidding yourself.
It’s really not about how early you get up to post on socials about how clever and effective you are.
It’s about what you do when you do get up!
It’s not input, it’s output.
Always ask yourself, is this the best use of my time?
If the answer is no.
Go do, whatever is.
Maybe thats, not actually working, but resting, recharging and relaxing…
I consider my thinking, work.
And all this rushing to get to where you want to get to.
Once you reach it.
Then what?
Oh that’s right, up again at 5am so you can get onto the next big goal.
And the next.
And the next.
Then you die.
I realised a few years ago that it was time.
Time to stop hustling, time to stop grinding and time to start thinking, time to start living.
Try it, and when you do, you may find, like me, that the ‘dash’ makes less sense, and living for now, makes more sense than ever before.
Using my principles, you absolutely still can find your success, what it won’t allow you to be, is a runner In a no end game, ever, stupid.
Radical. I know.
