My books.
My life-changing keynotes.
Our home that we worked long hours and days for…
Won’t be ours but someone else’s dream home.
My prized possessions, including that ice white 3l twin turbo Audi, will be long gone… scrapped, crushed and cubed.
How many of us can name our great-grandfathers?
In time, all that may remain of our once so important legacy will be a faded and dusty washed out photo on a shelf, or unviewed images on some external hard drive without anyone bothered to buy a lead to connect it.
All our best moments, our memories - one day will be lost to history.
There will have been many “Brads” throughout time.
With their own hopes, aspirations and dreams.
We are always wanting more, society has set us up like this. Constantly chasing after more of the next big thing.
Yet if we knew that today isn’t forever, (it’s not) would what you prioritise your time and focus on, change?
This is the partial shift I’ve made in my perspective.
It’s helped me to value moments more over material.
I reckon moments of genuine life and emotion, are likely the true treasures of life.
And maybe just maybe if you slowed down a little, you may discover as I did, that the life you want, is the one you actually already have.
That you may not be that far from living the dream.
I’ll tell you right now, you’ll already have something that no amount of money can buy.
Yet, we can get ourselves trapped in a mindset with insatiable material desires (that the world tells us we need) with an itch that can never quite be scratched.
We all absolutely should work towards a better life.
I certainly have.
Just maybe it’s time to appreciate the things your money can’t buy.
The unbuyable.
Today was the horizon you once dreamed of reaching.
Life’s VIP experience.
Is life.
