I've just been thinking, about the times I've got it wrong. In life. In business. In speaking.
Here's the thing. An expert is someone who has made all the mistakes in a particular niche field.
So if YOU want to be considered the expert, then you've got to make mistakes! The only way you can make mistakes is by making decisions!
And the only time you know it was a mistake is AFTER the event.
Because that's the thing.
A mistake is only a mistake after the event. Up until that point, it's the correct decision.
No-one, including me wakes up and thinks "You know what? I'm gonna go and fuck up today"
But occasionally I do.
So, in order for YOU to be the expert, or considered the expert in your world, you need to make decisions. You need to make mistakes.
So many people are scared of making decisions. What if it's the wrong one?
Well, what if you gained something from EVERY decision, whether they turn out to be good ones OR bad ones?
You see, if a decision turns out to be the wrong one, you've just gained some experience.
Win win!
Experience is what you win, when you lose.
So go forth, make those decisions, see whether they become a correct decision that moves you forward, or the wrong decision which increases your experience!
And do share with us when you have gained experience from a wrong decision.
