At the time my business identity was all about food.
After all, I ran a national business breakfast network!
Pissed off. Eat food.
Celebrate. Eat food.
Bored. Eat food.
Hungry. Eat.
Ooh that looks nice. Eat.
Also worth factoring when you spent years on benefits not having the chance (and quite rightly) of eating lavishly and on occasion being hungry.
It was all I ever did.
Until type 2 diabetes rolled around.
Cakes are all fun and games until they stop becoming all fun and games.
So I decided it was time to lose that “impossible” weight.
I managed to separate the connection between my identity and food.
I was now entering into the world of motivation speaking…
It didn’t add up.
“Never trust a fat motivational speaker…”
is one of my lines.
Think about it. If we being really, as in REALLY honest, it’s probably not your thyroid. Its more likely bacon.
Everyone loves cake. No one likes being fatter than they have to be.
Including me. So, the first person I had to motivate was me!
It just required me to stop eating/drinking like I was a 20-year-old.
After all, our tapeworms seem to stop working at about 27…
And I started doing things like going for regular daily walks.
Drinking more water.
I know. Radical stuff.
No shakes, no potions.
I just reprogrammed my head.
The place where 99% of your problems lie.
So, if you’re looking a little bit like me here below, just remember…
Your life isn’t over because you have to eat differently.
It’s just beginning.
And that the problem, ironically, isn’t your mouth, stomach or thyroid - it’s your brain.
Soz.
And take it from someone who shifted the “impossible weight”
That’s the starting point thing you probably need to sort!
