Online Convenience is killing business, strangling the high street.
Stifling community.

OAP Ethel no longer bumps into Eidee at Post Office.
And we’ve either been post pandemic conditioned or all daft enough, to think it’s epic.
Everytime we 1-Click pay. Or don’t go into our local chippy…
We are effectively stopping investing into our local economy, those local jobs, local taxes friends and families are indirectly and directly impacted.
I think there may well at some point, be a revolt against middle-man apps, once the TRUE COST is seen.
It really isn’t a saving… if its killing society.
Bit dramatic?
I really don’t think so.
We have to start focussing again on the little picture, and in doing so, the big picture will paint itself.
Next time you go to 1-Click BUY.
Extrapolate that by everyone else within your town doing the same…
We are effectively each declaring we don’t support local jobs & local business.
We all know what we should be doing, but we don’t, we won’t.
And then when you start seeing the shops boarded up on your high street.
The conversations “the council should do something!!”
And they should.
They should major on weaning us all off online convenience.
Or show us what the true cost to where we live is. More boarded up shops, more lonely Ethel’s.
We are stronger than Me.
It needs us all to say no TOGETHER, for any lasting and permanent change to happen.
