We can all spend so much money and time chasing them instead of doing real work or making real money. Social media in my opinion is definitely an essential part of the mix in building your profile and your reputation.
Liking and LOLing a 'Panda on a rocking horse' video (which I absolutely recommend you google right now!) can provide a nice welcome respite from the stresses of the WORK day, but it can also drain away essential time and ability to focus on the important stuff. Only you can decide this.
Find YOUR level.
If at a gym I attempt to bench press 60kg of weight, it gives me real stress and strain - I am operating at the limit of my capability.
Yet there is a bodybuilder friend of mine, Phil Graham (DiabeticMuscleAndFitness.com) who can press 200+kg, which is his limit. He is technically working no harder than me. He too is also at his maximum limit.
Yet he is the one that the crowds watch and gets featured in the muscle mags.
There was a time when 60kg was his limit too. But he kept pushing.
Lifting weights is relative.
Likewise, business is too.
Stop comparing yourself to others, as it will drive you crazy. Focus on your own game.
Be creative, not competitive.
How do you snag your perfect client the creative way? I'm going to show you.
You need to take a series of steps to cast your net where your ideal client is swimming and looking. Importantly, you must ensure you are distinctive enough that they
swim towards your
net!
Wishful thinking or just aggressively waiting for the phone to ring isn't going to cut it. I see business owners become frustrated that their ideal client isn't knocking on their door and they are getting nowhere knocking on their clients door.
Create your own niche. Be distinctive in what you offer and how you offer it. Be creative.
I've seen this work time and again in the overcrowded world of business speaking. By creating your own niche as a speaker, you can pick up more speaking engagements AND increase your fee. This same principle works in any business sector.
But, however creative you are, this is still no substitute for taking the step-by-step approach. The only way any of us can build greater confidence is by small gains and overcoming many hurdles along the way.
Get mentored by me. There are a number of ways you can do this, to suit your schedule, your bank account, your desired results.
