On Saturday I was walking around Bath with family, as a city the place is spotless.
Lots of bins, a sense of pride.
On one of the pavements we walked there was a McDs Milkshake cup. It stood out like a sore thumb. We picked it up and placed it in the nearest bin.
Yesterday walking in a local woodlands (Pictured) I came across a single piece of litter. A crisp packet. I picked it up and placed it in my pocket and when I arrived home. Binned it.
Have you ever been to a city, generally on a Sunday am! (as pictured) and seen rubbish strewn everywhere?
Of course.
Would I/you have attempted to tackle the litter?
Of course not.
Would you?
Unlikely.
Why? Because there is so much of it, we don’t bother starting.
And it now becomes someone’s job. And we bitch about the mess.
But don’t do anything about it.
This subtlety erodes our confidence.
Our environment.
So we leave it for “someone else to sort” or when we can “find the time”
And if you end up living in a city, over time we no longer see the litter.
It’s there but it’s not as stark as the first time you encounter it and just forms part of the backdrop.
—— read the above through, one more time please ——
Right. We covered and majored on R.A.C.E last week.
This shit IS important.
Today. Get a hold on your business. The thing that needs tackling but is so big and out of control that you don’t know where to start.
This could be -
Website copy...
Staffing...
Updating OR cancelling your Crm after all its been 6 months since you used it.z
Sorting through that 2nd drawer down of biz cards you been collecting for years.
Actually calling that data list of 1,000 local companies you bought.
I have no idea what the rubbish within your business is.
But you do.
Today’s task.
- Sort it!
