I’m nearly 50.
How much is enough?

Straight up. How the hell are kids growing up going to find contentment.
Everywhere they’re bombarded with designer bags, daft sport cars, sparklers in bottles and rap star wealth flaunted on social media.
It ain’t sustainable nor a true indicator of what most people will achieve.
Yet it’s what is being served to their minds every waking moment of their online and offline lives.
It’s like we setting up the next generation to fail by drowning in discontentment.
Girls in real life don’t look like that without filters.
Those abs, don’t look like that without, fake tan, tensing and overhead studio lighting and filters.
You really can’t sign up for a dickhead expensive training course that you see on your timeline and make £100,000 in the next year.
Well you can if you want to stripe people up selling dickhead courses by convincing them they too can make £100,000.
Take it from me as a nearly 50 year old man.
We all love daft cars and material stuff.
Just make certain what you are seeing and chasing is actually your dream. And not one you’ve picked up from the escapism that scroll, scroll, scroll offers… certainly after the challenging last few years.
There does come a point, when you spend so much time trying to escape from the life, business you currently lead, that it creates discomfort, discontent and discombobulation.
This is what I seeing along my travels.
Even in here.
This platform.
The real world IS emptying bins, picking up dog shit, forgetting your bags when you go to Lidl, loading the dishwasher. When was last time you saw that on Instagram?
Trying to emulate success that you see on social media or indeed Linked in, is the absolute road to unhappiness.
I’m nearly 50.
I had the expensive daft car.
It was EPIC fun… for the first few months.
Then magically it just became a car.
One day I’ll be dead.
So will you.
So…
Have fun.
Be driven, be ambitious, but above all, be happy.
When your drive and ambition is causing you to be unhappy.
Maybe, just maybe, you’ve found your level.
One final thing…
I’ve seen so many people fall into what I call, The wealth trap, as they start moving up, they now moving with people who are more successful/richer & now at the very point, way back when they started would have considered to have reached “success.”
They now start to feel inadequate with the cycle of unhappiness, chasing to reach and get to the next level (aha that’s where happy is) begins.
Again. Why?
Potty.
And I’m apparently the daft one with self limiting beliefs.
I may be daft, but I’m happy.
I’ve achieved way more than a thick Salford lad from a council estate could ever have dreamed of.
How much is enough?
Only you can answer that.
I’ll tell you this, you know what I love more than having money?
Having happy.
Happy + money = Success
Unhappy + money = Sickness
Ps: The £1m+ Bugatti isn’t mine, however if I omitted to say this, you would likely have assumed it was.
