Still in America, Squad! I’m over in San Diego at the minute at a place called Paradise Point. Think it’s a man-made island. If you know – send me your answers on a post card!
I’m doing stuff now that I thought was impossible, like, completely impossible. I’m living a life that was so far removed from where I’ve come from, right now. I think what ends up happening is people want this, all the luxury, glitz and glamour, but they are not prepared to put in the sacrifice at the front end of it. What I mean by sacrifice is the stone cold hard work you need to go through to get to this point. For those that don’t know – the mental breakdown that almost cost me everything – EVERYTHING , Type 2 diabetes, working on the road and not seeing my family. I had to go through all these things in order to get to the point I’m at now.
Fortunately, I managed to fix everything that went wrong. I have. Everything is fixed that went wrong but that is part of it. So, that unattainable dream that you want, it probably isn’t unattainable, if you are prepared to work for it. If you are prepared to take the time.
I am now 14 years in to self-employment. 14 years in and I’m now 45 years old. I did benefits for 4 years in total. Do the math on that.
1 Guy – Qualifications + Struggles + Determination = Success
I’m just a guy with no qualifications, yet somewhere along the way I’ve managed to find a way through. YOU can do the same. BUT it starts with you. IT STARTS WITH YOU!
Having dreams is not enough. You need to do the things that you may not like, but they take you in the right direction.
In my Now What? Club I do daily tasks - #BBTasks – to help people point themselves in the right direction. Here is one for you…
1)I want you to look at the future if you carry on the way you are now.
2)I want you to look at the future if you start to make small changes today. A change in your direction.
I want you to think about:
The BEST case scenario for the next 3 years
The WORST case scenario for the next 3 years
The MOST LIKELY case scenario for the next 3 years.
The actual dream may take more than 3 years but you need a starting point. It could take 3,4,5 years.
In my case it was 14!
The sooner you start on that journey the better. It’s going to be long and arduous but if you don’t know where you’re going it’s going to be long, arduous and frustrating.
So people, this is down to you. Your success and failures in life are going to be defined by your ability to make decisions. Good ones or bad ones.
Want more success? Make better decisions.
That’s what I started doing 14 years ago. The outcomes aren’t always going to be perfect, far from it, but they’ve got better. Think about it, if you want success, make better decisions. It starts with YOU and it starts TODAY.
Or maybe it doesn’t. Maybe you just can’t be arsed. Maybe you just need to be honest with yourself. It’s about finding your level. YOUR LEVEL. Not copying my level or someone else’s level. Just finding what level is right for you.
It really is the best and worst part of being in any situation. YOU get to choose the outcome with your decisions.
The biggest tool you have is your brain. USE IT.
